Today is the first day of the feast of Shavuot; it is celebrated for two days. It is a celebration of joy for the harvest. It is the 50th day since Pesach (Passover). It is traditionally celebrated as the day that the Torah was given to Moses on Mt. Sinai. It is the birthday of Judaism. When God gave the Law, there was fire on the mount and quaking. The Greek name for Shavuot is Pentecost. Shavuot was also the birthday of the Church. There were tongues of fire and the place was shaken as the Holy Spirit was given (Ac 2:1-4). There was great joy and a spiritual harvest. At Mt. Sinai the Torah (Law) was on the outside; now the Law is inside; written on the heart. At Mt. Sinai 3,000 died (Ex 32:28); at Mt. Zion 3,000 were given New Life (Ac 2:41). Shavuot fulfilled.

Your history is not your destiny – (unless you focus on the history instead of the destiny.)
Chag Sameach! Passover is over now & it was wonderful! It’s my favorite time of year, even with all the cleaning, kashering & preparation. We fasted the week before & prayers were answered during Passover week & more miracles to come, I’m certain. I am grateful to the King of Life. I love all the special Pesach foods & using our Kosher dishes (still haven’t put them away). We have matzah to last a while. I always like to buy extra; we never know who will attend our Seder. We have lox & cream cheese, but no charoset left. I hate to see it end, but I feel refreshed and the weather is gorgeous. It’s a new beginning!
Learn from others. You’ll never know a thing that you didn’t learn from somebody else. (Coach John Wooden – winningest coach of all time)
I will heal My people & will let them enjoy abundant peace & security. Je33:6 – wonderful promise – I pray this for the Lord’s people everywhere, esp. in Japan.
I will never forget Your precepts for by them You have renewed my life.
See! the LORD rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt!
Do all the good you can by all the means you can in all the places you can at all the times you can to all the people you can as long as ever you can. – John Wesley
